When analyzing vacuum sections, pipe cross-section local stability to excess external pressure Pwork must be checked. Analyses are done using GOST 32388-2013 with an adjustment to No.1.

Stiffening rings can be placed at set interval along the pipe axis to increase stability for external pressure.

K - stability factor, Ky stability factor under external pressure load, axial force, bending moment, shear force.

Output

If "pressure" is selected, allowable external pressure under which stability is maintained can be calculated by setting nominal wall thickness. If "wall thickness" is selected, minimum allowable wall thickness can be calculated by setting the maximum external pressure (vacuum) and test pressure. In this case, stability analysis for vacuum and strength under test pressure is checked.
